New Agent Safety
Rule 1: PID (Positive Identification)
Never engage a target until you have confirmed its classification. A rustle in the bushes could be a Wendigo, or it could be a civilian hiker. Visual confirmation is mandatory.
Rule 2: The Buddy System
Solo agents go missing. Always operate in pairs. One monitors the environment (Macro); one monitors the sensors (Micro).
Rule 3: Containment First, Termination Last
Our goal is to study and conceal, not to destroy. Lethal force is authorized only when an Agent’s life is in immediate peril or a Civilian breach is imminent.

Protocol A: Cryptid Engagement (Biological Entities)
Applies to: Bigfoot, Dogman, Chupacabra, Lake Monsters.
Tactical Overview: Biological entities possess heightened senses. They will smell you before you see them. Success relies on stealth, scent masking, and patience. Do not rely on brute force; you cannot wrestle a Sasquatch and win.
Mandatory Requisition: Agents assigned to Cryptid Division must equip the “Apex Tracker” Loadout, prioritizing camouflage and long-range optics.
Kit Name: The “Apex Tracker” Loadout
Theme: Stealth, Observation, and Evidence Collection.
- Bureau Protocol: Most cryptids are nocturnal. You can't track what you can't see.
- Bureau Protocol: The Bureau can't be everywhere. Set the trap and wait for the beast to pass.
- Bureau Protocol: Essential for casting footprints (The Sasquatch Standard). "If you didn't cast it, it didn't happen."
- Bureau Protocol: Breaking up the human silhouette is vital when tracking primate-level intelligence.
- Bureau Protocol: Pursuit can take days. Don't die of dysentery while chasing the Skunk Ape.
WARNING: Do not attempt to 'handle' a cryptid on your own. Remember, if you're a junior agent, watch and document, do not disturb.Protocol B: Mythos Engagement (Legendary Threats)
Applies to: Dragons, Basilisks, Chimeras, Gorgons.
Tactical Overview: These entities defy standard biology. Many have armored hides impervious to small-arms fire or cognitive hazards (gaze attacks). Engagement requires heavy durability, physical barriers, and specific material countermeasures (Iron, Silver, Fire).
Mandatory Requisition: Agents assigned to Mythos Division are authorized for the "Titan Slayer" Loadout, prioritizing heavy utility and trauma care.
Kit Name: The "Titan Slayer" Loadout
Theme: Durability, Physical Defense, and Heavy Utility.
- Bureau Protocol: When bullets bounce off the Nemean Lion's hide, you need kinetic melee options.
- Bureau Protocol: Dual purpose: Signaling for extraction, or checking corners for Basilisks/Medusas without direct eye contact.
- Bureau Protocol: For setting tripwires, binding maws, or scaling the labyrinth walls.
- Bureau Protocol: Mythological beasts cause massive trauma. Band-aids won't fix a Gryphon scratch; you need tourniquets and clotting gauze.
- Bureau Protocol: Many underground beasts (Cave dwellers) are sensitive to light. Blind the Minotaur.
WARNING: Never assume you can 'handle' a mythos encounter. Always use the buddy system and call in for support (we're looking at you, junior agents)!Protocol C: Spectral Engagement (Incorporeal)
Applies to: Poltergeists, Shadow People, Banshees.
Tactical Overview: Ballistics are useless. You are fighting energy, not flesh. Detection is your only weapon. Monitor EMF spikes and temperature drops. Establish salt perimeters immediately upon entering the hot zone.
Mandatory Requisition: Agents assigned to Spirit Division must utilize the "Paranormal Investigator" Loadout, prioritizing sensors and electronic recording.
Kit Name: The "Paranormal Investigator" Loadout
Theme: Detection, Sensors, and "Cleansing".
- Bureau Protocol: The gold standard for detecting electromagnetic fluctuations caused by manifesting entities.
- Bureau Protocol: For capturing EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena). The dead speak in white noise.
- Bureau Protocol: Sudden temperature drops indicate a manifestation. Scan the room instantly.
- Bureau Protocol: Creates impassable barriers for spirits. Do not breach the line.
- Bureau Protocol: Navigate dark ruins without ruining your natural night vision (or washing out camera footage).

Protocol D: Bio-Hazard Containment (Infected)
Applies to: Zombies, Fungal Hosts, Vampiric Strains.
Tactical Overview: The threat is microscopic. One bite, scratch, or inhaled spore can compromise an Agent. Distance is life. Full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is non-negotiable in Red Zones.
Mandatory Requisition: Agents assigned to Infected Division must equip the "Bio-Hazard" Loadout, prioritizing air filtration and bite-proof armor.
Kit Name: The "Bio-Hazard Containment" Loadout
Theme: Protection, Sanitation, and Barrier Defense.
- Bureau Protocol: Spores (The Last of Us) and viral pathogens are airborne. Breathing is a liability.
- Bureau Protocol: Keep the necrotic fluids off your skin. Burn the suit after the mission.
- Bureau Protocol: Burns the skin of Vampiric strains and highlights biological residue in a crime scene.
- Bureau Protocol: Most infected transfer the pathogen via biting. Armored forearms are your first line of defense.
- Bureau Protocol: Used for breaching quarantined doors and... blunt force diplomacy.
