Bureau Definition:

An Infected entity is a biological organism (human or animal) that has been compromised by a transmissible pathogen, parasitic host, or supernatural curse. Unlike Cryptids, which are natural animals, the Infected are victims of a Transformation Event. Their primary directive is usually the propagation of the infection to new hosts.

This division includes reanimated necrotic tissue (Zombies), parasitic hosts (Vampiric strains), and shapeshifters driven by a curse (Lycanthropes).

Primary Characteristics:

Transmission Vector: The entity spreads its condition via fluids, bites, scratches, or spores.
Necrotic Physiology: The host body may continue to function despite injuries that would be fatal to a normal organism (ignoring pain, organ failure).
Host Aggression: The original consciousness is usually suppressed or destroyed, replaced by a singular drive to feed or spread.

Field Advisory: Maximum Containment Protocols apply. Physical contact with an Infected entity constitutes a Level-5 Bio-Hazard. Full PPE (respirators, bite-guard armor) is mandatory. Protocol for termination is usually total destruction of the brain stem or incineration of the host body.
