DIVISION II: MYTHOS ENTITIES

Operational Designation:

CLASS-M (Anomalous / Legendary)

Clearance:

Level 2 Restricted

Bureau Definition:

A Mythos Entity is defined as a creature of immense age and power, often described in ancient folklore, religious texts, or classical mythology. Unlike Cryptids (which are biologically plausible), Mythos entities possess Anomalous Biology that defies standard evolutionary laws—such as chimerism (multiple species fused), functional immortality, or the ability to manipulate elemental forces.

These entities are often unique “Guardians” or “Punishers” rather than a species with a breeding population. They are physically tangible but often require specific, lore-based countermeasures to neutralize.

Primary Characteristics:

  • Chimera Physiology: The entity displays impossible biology (e.g., a lion with a scorpion’s tail, a serpent with nine heads).
  • High Durability: Standard ballistic trauma is often ineffective. The entity may require heavy ordnance or material-specific weaknesses (e.g., Iron, Silver, Fire).
  • Historical Tether: The entity has been documented by civilizations predating modern history (Greek, Norse, Sumerian).
Field Advisory: Mythos entities are often highly intelligent and territorial. Do not engage with small arms. Research the specific historical weakness of the entity before entering its domain. If you do not have a specific kill-solution, retreat.
